Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. yesterday said it had agreed a preliminary deal to sell five aircraft types MRJ (Mitsubishi Regional Jet) to the leasing company based in Hong Kong, ANI Group Holding Ltd.
Official statement of the two companies cited the Wall Street Journal said in a memorandum of understanding is explained that the purchase was to supply the indonesia airline. “The aircraft made by Mitsubishi will be provided for five Indonesian airlines including maintenance,” said ANI Group.
In a joint statement the two companies are also mentioned, MRJ aircraft purchase is potentially increased to 20 units or more.
ANI Group is the third customer for the Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. to MRJ aircraft types. The plan, first delivery aircraft with a capacity of 70-90 passengers it will be starting 2014. MRJ mentioned going to compete with similar aircraft from other manufacturers such as Bombardier of Canada and Embraer (Brazil).
